Docuwi (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Docuwi websites and applications (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who we are
Docuwi is operated by MoronArt Team. Contact: [email protected].
Postal address: 8 The Green, Dover, DE 19901, United States.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: such as name, email address, and authentication details when you register or sign in (including when you use social login providers you choose).
- Profile and preferences: settings you configure in the app (for example, notification preferences).
- Content you upload: documents, files, and associated metadata you add to your workspace.
- Support and communications: messages you send us (for example, through support channels or feedback forms).
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: such as approximate log timestamps, IP address, browser or app type, and diagnostic events needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies: where used, to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used. You can control many cookies through your browser settings.
We do not require you to upload sensitive categories of data; if you choose to store such materials, you do so at your own discretion and should follow any obligations that apply to you (for example, health or financial record rules).
How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including search, organization, and document-related features you request).
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect security.
- Send service-related messages (for example, security alerts, verification, or billing notices where applicable).
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve product quality (we do not sell your personal documents).
Legal bases (where applicable)
If laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of the following: contract (to provide the Service you asked for), legitimate interests (for example, security and product improvement, balanced against your rights), legal obligation, or consent where we ask for it explicitly.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, or payment processors), subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
- Professional advisers where required (for example, lawyers or auditors).
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
If we use subprocessors that process personal data on our behalf, we select them with care and describe key categories in our Security overview where appropriate.
International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection rules than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete content or your account (subject to our deletion process and any legal holds), we take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify personal data over time, except where retention is required by law.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and enable multi-factor authentication when available. See our Security page for more detail.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete certain information or request account deletion (see our Terms of Service for how to request deletion of your account).
- Object or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact [email protected] from your registered email where possible. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Third-party services and links
The Service may contain links to third-party sites or let you connect third-party accounts (for example, sign-in with a social provider). Their practices are governed by their own policies; we are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate (for example, by email or in-app message).
